Hi! My name is David. Nice to meet you. This website has two aims. First, I want to inform you about life in Tokyo. Also, I hope to give you some intriguing information and entertainment . . . oh, and maybe a little humor.
Does that make three aims?
Tokyo is one of the world’s largest and busiest cities. Yet it’s clean and orderly, and everything works. If you look from above, you might see a higgledy-piggledy maze of narrow streets and pale concrete blocks. But at eye-level, you can find beauty.
I have lived and worked here for over half my adult life. My wife was born here, and here we’ve bought an apartment and brought up two children.
As I wrote above, I also want to add some fascinating facts fresh from the fascinating fact factory. Did you know that Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin were all big fans of Walt Disney? That the computer mouse was invented before the PC it’s used for? That over 50 people associated with Bill and Hillary Clinton have died in mysterious circumstances? Or that the 21st century smartphone was based on a communicator device in the 1966 TV series, Star Trek? Plenty more where that came from!
And humor? Ah . . .
What do cows do for entertainment?
Watch moovies.
I hope you’ll come back to visit this site again. And if you have any questions or comments, let me know through the Contact page.
